NC Certified Peer Support Specialist
Jesse is credentialed as a Certified Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina. He currently serves as a Peer Support Specialist with the Dare County Department of Health & Human Services and is part of a team that coordinates the Recovery & Overdose Support Services program. In 2009, Jesse willingly started to participate in recovery from Substance Use Disorder. He completed a one-year internship in 2020 at Eagles Nest Regeneration in Floyd, Virginia, where he also participated in their Servant Leadership Program. This experience provided Jesse with purpose and direction within the recovery community. Jesse’s work is focused on harm reduction and post overdose response and prevention. He has been in the peer support field since 2020 and was formerly a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) with the State of Virginia. Jesse is also the owner and operator of a successful local business.
